Self advocacy is about being able to speak up for yourself. You can get information about this by looking at the ‘Self Advocacy’ page. You can find out about groups that meet in Sheffield and about Speaking Up For Action and how to contact them.

Speaking up for yourself is often not easy.  There are a number of ways you can get support to speak up or join others who also want to speak up and have their say. You van find out about organisations that may be able to offer you support to speak up by looking at the ‘Advocacy Services’ page.

There’s also a link to information about the abuse of vulnerable adults. If you look at the ‘Abuse’ page you can find out about the abuse of vulnerable adults, what are the types of abuse, what the signs are and where you can go for help.

In Sheffield we strive to make a services person centre. You can get more information on the ‘PCP’ page which stands for person centred planning.
