The Sheffield Learning Disabilities Partnership Board wants to find out more about how advocacy works for people with learning disabilities. They want to write a plan for advocacy in Sheffield. They want to talk to people with learning disabilities, family carers and professionals about what is important before they write their plan. An independent organisation, Inclusion North, is helping Sheffield make this happen.
We would like you to have your say about advocacy in Sheffield. What you say will help to make a plan for what advocacy should look like in Sheffield.

People who support user/speaking up groups
At the bottom of this page there is a consultation toolkit available for download. We have written this because we want your help to get people's views on what advocacy Sheffield needs in the future. This is for anyone who organises or facilitates a regular meeting with people with a learning disability, their family members or professionals involved in supporting people with learning disabilities.
The group you organise might be an involvement group, a tenants meeting, a speaking up group, a carers meeting or something else. The consultation toolkit is meant to guide and support you in facilitating a group meeting.
