Parliament has decided it wants to elect some of its members as MPPs (Members of the People’s Parliament).  MPPs will help to lead sessions at Parliament on the big issues that people have said they care about.  MPPs will represent Parliament’s voice on the Partnership Board and in other places.

Anyone who goes to Parliament can stand as an MPP.  Everybody who wants to stand as an MPP (the candidates) will be supported to do so.

Speaking Up for Advocacy (SUFA) will be visiting different groups across the city to talk to them about the election process and to help people who would like to stand as candidates.  The candidates will be able to make a short film to tell people why they want to be an MPP.  If you would like more information about the elections, please contact SUFA on 272 7723.
