Sheffield Learning Disabilities Partnership Board believes that everyone has the right to understand and be understood. We know that this is hard to achieve due to a range of barriers.
We want to enable people with learning disabilities to express what they wish to communicate about their individual care and about services.
We also want to ensure that everyone communicates in ways that are understandable to individuals.
We want to make a difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities in Sheffield by improving two way communication.
We have been working on a project to develop a Communication Framework for Sheffield. This project looked at how we can enable everyone to communicate and to make sure we communicate effectively with them. The project was called 'My Voice, My Choice'.
