Registered Residential and Nursing Homes
The Sheffield Care Trust runs 7 residential homes and 1 nursing home for people with a learning disability, in partnership with housing associations. The homes are located across Sheffield, and support over 200 people. We aim to provide care for you to maintain your independence and make sure you’re treated with dignity and respect. Also, there are a number of private and voluntary organisations running care homes.

You will be involved in planning your residential and nursing care services through an individual person centred care plan. We will also involve the people who know you well - your family, friends and support staff.

It's important we support you if your needs mean that without help you wouldn’t be able to continue to live at home safely or independently. Once we understand your needs we'll decide with you what the risks are and how best to support you. We'll do this by carrying out an assessment of your needs.

There are other options to consider if you need support with daily living. There's information about Supported Living on the Housing section of this website.
