WiLD Awards 2009

WiLD (Working in Learning Disabilities) Awards
Annual awards for staff working in the Joint Learning Disabilities Service

We think that the staff who support you in your life are doing a really good job and we want to reward them by letting you tell us if you think someone is good at their job.

The annual WILD Awards are one of the ways we can acknowledge a job well done.  They are also a way of telling everyone about what we do well so that everyone can learn about good ways of working and services can keep getting better.

The awards are for anyone who works in the Joint Learning Disabilities Service - staff, managers and teams.  This is not just for care and support workers – it is for staff working in any role and including office work and other support services.
There are four different awards this year:

Team award:  This is for a group of people who work together to make things better for you

Individual award:  This might be someone who is friendly and helpful and does something extra so you have a good time

Taking a lead award:  This is someone who stands out because they’ve taken a lead on some work that’s made a real change

Supporting a community contribution:  This is for someone who supports the wider community and may be something that is beyond someone’s day-to-day role
