Complaints and Compliments

Joint Service
If you are not happy with any of our services you can approach any member of staff with your concerns.

If you are not happy with the way your assessment is carried out, or with the decision, you can ask us to look at your situation again. Your social worker, community nurse or care manager will explain how you can do this.

You can also make a compliment, comment or complaint about any service you get from the Joint learning Disabilities Service.

We have a complaint leaflet available for people with a learning disability to use. You can download our 'How to make a complaint' leaflet at the bottom of this page.  You can also get a paper copy of the leaflet by ringing our Customer Relations Team on 0114 273 6705.

Has anyone made a complaint?
Information about all formal complaints is available in the Customer Relations Annual Report. You can see a copy of this below

Has anyone complimented or made a suggestion about the Joint Learning Disabilities Service?

So far this year we have received 12 compliments about our services.  These are about

  • service quality
  • staff attitude and behaviour
  • being prompt and efficient

In 2007/8 we made sure that we recorded more of the informal compliments and suggestions that we received.  In total 22 people complimented the service during this period.

In 2006/7 three formal compliments were made through the Tell Us What You Think process. We have thought about what these compliments and tell us.

Our Social Inclusion Team also ask people we support - families, colleagues and other providers. You can see from the results the compliments people made about the team. You can see a copy of this below
