Our standards
The Joint Learning Disabilities Services strives to work to high standards with the best outcomes possible for our service users. We are also committed to improving standards and outcomes for service users. We also have standards about our conduct and behaviour both in service and when we visit you a home. You can see a copy of all these standards below.
Strategies
The Joint Learning Disabilities Service is currently working on a number of major strategies that will shape our services for the future. We are consulting with service users, family carers and other people we work with about these strategies.
One of the strategies we have worked on is our Employment Strategy to help support people with a learning disability into paid employment. We are now consulting on this and are interested in what you think. You can get a copy of the Employment Strategy at the below. If you want to tell us what you think about this strategy you can email ldwebsite@sheffield.gov.uk or you can ring Richard Parrott, Strategic Commissioning Manager on 0114 273 4746.
We are also arranging a consultation event about our new learning disabilities Commissioning Strategy on 17 October at the Town Hall in Sheffield from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm. Please come along and tell us what you think about the Commissioning Strategy.
We also produced a report in July 2006 about young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, implications for adult services.
