The Joint Learning Disabilities Services has a senior and a wider operational management team responsible for running the service. These officers are the senior management team.

Clinical Director
I have joint responsibility with Josie Bennett for the Joint Learning Disabilities service. I make sure that the clinical services are doing what they should be doing.

Head of Service
As Head of Service I have overall responsibility for the leadership and management of the Joint Learning Disabilities Service. We have staff and services in both Sheffield City Council and in Sheffield Health and Social Care Trust and I am directly accountable to both organisations for how well we deliver the services.
Deputy Head of Service, Provider Services
I am responsible for managing staff who provide support to people using day services, respite services, residential care homes and living in supported living.
Deputy Head of Service/Service Manager Community Learning Disability Teams
I am responsible for managing social workers and clinicians who work in the Community Learning Disability Teams; the Older Carer Support Service and Sheffield Case Register. I am also responsible for the budget to purchase support and care for people who have a learning disability in Sheffield.

Strategic Commissioning Manager
My job is the Strategic Commissioning for services for people with a learning disability. This is about making sure that people with a learning disability and their families can have a good life. This means understanding the needs of people with a learning disability and their families, and how their needs are changing. It’s also about knowing what services Sheffield has for people with a learning disability, how well they meet people’s needs, and what needs to change to help make people’s lives better.
Service Manager/Assistant Clinical Director
My name is John Tomlinson and I have Operational Management responsibilities for the Assessment and Treatment Unit, the Improving Mental Wellbeing Team (IMWT) and the Community Intensive Support Service (CAISS). I am also the professional lead for Learning Disability Nurses and have overall responsibility for workforce development across the Joint Learning Disability Service
Service Manager, Social Care
I am currently spending 60% of my time working on helping develop and deliver self-directed support in the Department and specifically across the Joint Learning Disabilities Services (JLDS). As part of this role I manage the team manager for the self-directed support Back-fill Team, which covers the work of care managers across each of the service areas whilst they have training on new processes and ways of doing things.
I am the lead senior manager on Safeguarding in the JLDS, give advice, supervision, and make decisions on particularly difficult cases and situations, lead on legal and court-related work, and also manage the direct payments manager.
Service Manager, Provider Services
I am responsible for staff providing health and social care to clients in our Residential Nursing Home’s within Sheffield. I also have a responsibility for Employment Services currently based at Love Street.
Accommodation and Support Strategy Manager
It is my job to make sure that there is a good Housing and Support Plan for People with Learning Disabilities in Sheffield and that the important things in the plan happen.
Business and Communications Manager
I have three areas of responsibility – co-ordinating communications, performance information and managing a team of business support staff
