Self directed support is the new way of organising social care support. It is support that you decide and you control. Once you have a Personal Budget you are in charge of it. You choose what support you want and how to spend your budget.  The 'Managing my money' page tells you about six different ways to look after your money.

Direct Payments are a way for you to get the support you want.  Instead of us arranging care or support for you, you can have a cash payment and choose your own arrangements.  It allows you to live more independently and have more choice and control over the way you live your life. You can get more information by going to the ‘Direct Payments’ page.
