There are lots of things that people with a learning disability and their carers say are important so they can have a good life.
These are things like:
- citizenship and social inclusion
- choice and control
- good quality health and social care services
- being able to access services in Sheffield
- access to housing, leisure, transport or employment services
This strategy talks about all of these areas. It sets out:
- national and local policy and priorities
- what local people and their families need, and expect, from services,
- what services and resources we currently have in Sheffield
- what are the issues
- what we plan to do
