Launchpad have an opportunity for someone to help as a ‘roady’ for local bands and gigs.
 
You would help set up equipment and clear away at the end of the gig.
 
You would be employed on a sessional basis so your benefits would not be affected.

Speaking Up For Advocacy are offering a free, on the job training course where you can learn office skills, maths, English, computer skills, confidence building and advocacy.
 
 
 
 
There are a number of organisations in Sheffield that may be able to help you get a job.  Below are some of them that offer help and advice.
 
  • The Employment Service has advisors that help people with disabilities find a suitable job.
  • Job Net also support people with disabilities find a suitable job.
 
  • Connections is a service operated by the Sheffield Care Trust for you to use within Supported Living.  Connections provide advice and referrals to you on work, leisure and education. They also operate self advocacy groups around the city to help you become more independent.  Contact Connections on 0114 271 6149
  • Bridge Employment Services offer support to people with learning disabilities and mental health support needs.   They can help you find a work placement, fill in an application form and prepare for an interview. Contact Bridge Employment Services on 0114 279 5055
  • Connexions - Our specialist personal advisers work with young disabled people to support them into post 16 opportunities.  They work particularly with the special schools and colleges.
