It is really important for us to hear what you think about our services and our plans for the future.
We have written a plan looking at some possible changes to how learning disability services are delivered. It is about how services are provided and bought to meet need. It is not about assessment for services. In the Autumn last year we talked to people about the ideas we have. The consultation closed on 14 November 2014.
What happens after the consultation
We have written a report about the consultation and what people told us. This went to Cabinet on Wednesday 17 December 2014 so that they could decide what to do next.
When the plan is approved, we will talk to you about the plan in more detail. We think the first of these plans will be available in the new year but please keep checking this page for updates.
How to find the strategy
The strategy is available on-line at www.sheffield.gov.uk/ldcs. There is also an easy ready version (‘The Big Plan’) that you can read. We can post a copy of either strategy out if required – please contact us on (0114) 2734119 or at PracticeDevelop@sheffield.gov.uk and let us know if you’d like the full version of the strategy or the easy read version (‘The Big Plan’).
If you would like an easy read copy of the Cabinet report you can contact us on 0114 2734119 or email at PracticeDevelop@sheffield.gov.uk. Or you can write to us at:
