Public Transport

Public Transport is buses, trams and trains.

If you want to learn to use a bus, tram or train on your own, travel training might help. To find out more about travel training, see the 'Travel Training' section at the bottom of this page.

Travel Training

Travel Training is learning how to travel. This can be for disabled or older people. It can be for any journey whether you want to use a bus, taxi, walk, cycle or tram.

A worker will show you to do each part of the journey safely and build up your confidence. The worker will check whether you can do this safely and confidently and will work with family carers and support workers where needed.

The Travel Team news letter has more information and some good news stories about people learning to travel. You can download a copy of the news letter at the bottom of the page.

If you would like to know more call Phil Smith on 2039318 or fill in the referral form at the bottom of the page.
