Our plans

In this section you can read about our plans for improving services for people with a learning disability. Sometimes these plans are called 'strategies'. You can find out more about each plan by following the links:

'A good life' is about how we develop good services across the city for people with a learning disability.

'A good day' is about how we develop day services

'A good job' is about how we develop employment opportunities for people

The 'Autism Strategy' is about how we plan to help people with a learning disability who also have autism

The 'Workforce Development Strategy' is about how we make sure people who work with people with a learning disability have the right skills to support people in the right way.

The 'Challenging Behaviour strategy' is about how we plan to help people whose behaviour challenges the people who support them.

The 'Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) strategy' is about how we plan to meet the needs of people with a learning disability and their family carers who are from BME communities.

The 'Advocacy Strategy' is about our plans to make sure we have excellent advocacy support for adults with a learning disability.

'Accommodation and Support Strategy' is about the accommodation and support services provided for adults with a learning disability in Sheffield. We are working on a new strategy at the moment, this will be available on the website when it is ready.
